Exactly what a ball-peen should be
I use this daily in my metal shop — setting rivets, peening over bolt ends, striking cold chisels. The face is properly hardened and the peen end is a good radius. 12 oz is the right weight for precision work without arm fatigue.
Works well for light metalwork
I'm a hobby blacksmith and use this for finer shaping work where my bigger hammers are too heavy. The peen end rounds edges nicely on mild steel. Handle feels a little short for heavy strikes, but for detail work it's great.
My go-to for body work
Use this alongside a dolly for straightening small dents and working sheet metal. The peen end gives just the right amount of force without over-stretching the panel. Comfortable grip even during long sessions.
Decent but handle could be better
The head is solid — I've used it for striking punches and chisels without issue. But the handle felt slightly rough out of the box and needed sanding before it was comfortable for extended use. Head quality is good, handle finishing is just okay.
