Countersinks clean, no splitting
I install crown molding and baseboards for a living. These 6d finishing nails set cleanly with a nail set and leave a tiny hole that disappears under caulk and paint. Haven't had one split a mitered end piece, which is my main test.
Perfect for face frames
I use these to tack cabinet face frames while the glue sets. The small head disappears into the wood, and the 2-inch length gives just enough bite without poking through a 3/4-inch panel. Exactly as advertised.
Good nail, just pre-drill hardwoods
Works perfectly for pine trim. On oak molding you'll want to pre-drill or these will split the wood — but that's true of any finishing nail. The count (~220) is accurate and the heads countersink without mushrooming.
Great for student projects
Bought these for my high school woodshop class. Students building small boxes and frames with pine really appreciate a nail that doesn't leave a visible head. Good count for the price — a box goes a long way in a classroom.
Solid for the price
I mostly use a nail gun, but for hand-nailing trim these are my backup box. Consistent diameter, sharp tips, the coating doesn't flake off. You get a lot of nails for the money.
