    Fiberglass handle survives overstrike

I've broken two wood-handled drilling sledges on rebar jobs. This fiberglass handle took every overstrike I threw at it during a full concrete demolition day. 4 lb is perfect for driving stakes and busting through block.

Short handle is a feature, not a bug

Some guys want a 10 lb long-handle sledge, but for demolition in tight spaces this drilling sledge is ideal. The short handle gives you control inside walls and under floors. Breaks tile, drives form stakes, knocks apart pallets — does it all.

    Great for driving fence posts

Used this to drive 30 T-posts and it kept its balance the entire time. My arm was tired before the hammer was. I'd give 5 stars but the grip texture wore off on the lower section after heavy use.

Demolished a concrete step in an afternoon

Rented a jackhammer before I had this. Turns out a 4 lb drilling sledge and a cold chisel were all I needed to break up a 4-inch slab. The shock-absorbing handle really does cut down on the vibration.

    Solid tool, good weight

4 lb hits hard enough for most demo work without beating you up. Good for knocking out drywall anchors and driving chisels into old mortar. The fiberglass handle is noticeably lighter than steel, which matters after the first hour.
